Sometimes, your career choice will be obvious. You studied economics, so you should end up somewhere in the banking field. But sometimes you already know that is not for you.

Some people were practically born knowing what they want to do with their life. They are the ones who have rushed straight off to the part of this site that contains vacancies for jobs and placements. But a much greater number find that choosing a career is the single most difficult part of job hunting. If you are not sure where to start in making this momentous decision, these pages are for you.

Sarah Brundle is a Finance Manager for the Arcadia Group. She did a financial industrial placement with Arcadia as part of her degree, "which was an absolutely brilliant experience. It kind of opened my eyes to the world of finance, the world of retail, and really gave me a taste of something that I knew I then wanted to do."
