Mariah beats the King
Elvis, the King of Pop, has been demoted to third place for the most number of No. 1’s in the US charts by a self-confessed 12 year old called Mimi.
Mariah Carey, with the help of her new single Touch My Body, now can claim 17 No. 1 hits in the US charts. The singer told Associated Press that she was “really happy” but would not compare herself to Elvis or the Beatles, who currently hold the record with 20 singles at the top.
