We’ve all tried learning a language at school although most of us, unfortunately, give up as soon as the curriculum allows us. This may be due to the seeming impossibility of grasping the past-perfect-conditional-unlikely tense, but we’ve all learnt our mother tongue so it can’t be that difficult! And in today’s multicultural and international internet society, with cheap air fares aplenty, there’s more reason than ever to learn a new language.

BCA Warns Travelling Students of Back Danger
As exam season comes to an end an estimated 150,000 young people will be opting to take a gap year this summer. As the most popular season for people to head off in search of fun filled adventure July will see around half of all single travellers embarking on trips of a lifetime.
As thousands of students opt to ‘broaden their horizons’ in favour of entering the world of work, the British Chiropractic Association (BCA) is advising budding back packers of the potential postural pitfalls when travelling and the implications of carrying a ‘house’ on your back for long periods of time.

Safety first on Gap year
Travel insurance is something that you MUST take with you. Not sure how it works? No problem - essentially you pay a small amount to a company to cover you on your trip and if something goes wrong that requires a big payout (e.g. £6,000 for hospital treatment, £18,000 for an air ambulance etc) - then your insurance company pays, not you.
