The NUS Chief Returning Officer (CRO) has announced two further elections for 2019/20 positions. These elections are being held to fill vacancies which have arisen following Democratic Conferences this year. The positions being elected are as follows:

Trans Students’ Officer – One (1) Position

At National Conference 2019, the Conference voted to include the position of Trans Students’ Officer within the interim arrangements set out in NUS’ proposed new Articles. Conference also passed a challenge to the NUS UK estimates to provide funding for this position. Therefore, following a meeting of the NUS UK Board, the position of Trans Students’ Officer is to be elected as a Full Time Officer role for 2019/20.

Trans Students’ Conference took place in January 2019, therefore the Chief Returning Officer has ruled that the election for this position will take place online and be vote for by delegates who were registered for this Conference.
