Ethan’s past returns to haunt him as the threat of nuclear terrorism casts a dark shadow over the world.

Once again, Ethan and his loyal IMF team find themselves embroiled in a dangerous mission to prevent a global catastrophe, but things go from bad to worse after the assignment goes wrong.

Full plot details for the sixth instalment of the Mission: Impossible franchise are being kept under wraps for the time being, however, we do know we can expect to witness Tom Cruise’s (American Made) most dangerous stunt to date, as he was filmed clinging to a helicopter mid-flight over New Zealand.

Fallout is the first movie in the iconic series to be shot in 3D, and features a mixture of both new and familiar faces. Rebecca Ferguson (The Snowman) returns to her role as Isla Faust, and Simon Pegg (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) is also back as Benji Dunn.

Michelle Monaghan (Patriot’s Day) and Henry Cavill (Justice League) are set to make their debut in the series. The multi-talented Christopher McQuarrie helms the director’s chair, having also co-written the film. He has previously worked as a writer on titles including The Usual Suspects, Jack Reacher, Edge of Tomorrow, and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.
