Reculture makes its 2019 return with a daytime event on Sunday 31st March. Following a great end to 2018 with Reculture IV – The new year will see The Brand bring its distinctive melange of high quality and forward thinking electronic music, combined with a host of exciting street and contemporary art, to the intimate 93 Feet East.

Recently relaunched, and characterised by raw and industrial decor alongside a high quality D&B sound system, the historic venue will provide the perfect canvas in which to purvey the Reculture sound and identity.

A party for creatives, by creatives; the Reculture experience is visually and aurally immersive; a symbiosis of high quality and thematic lighting and live art to create a truly unique journey for audiophiles and aesthetes alike.

Michael Mayer, Kompakt boss and one of the industry’s most enduring and influential figures, will assume headlining duties. Born in Germany in 1971 and exposed to the world of electronic music in his early teens, establishing Cologne’s longest running club night, Total Confusion, in 1998, and perfecting a unique formula for club culture that remains unrivalled and uncompromised. His devotion to the scene and his passion for his craft beyond the accepted frontiers is also evident throughout his productions, with his blend of progressive, contemporary techno with roots spanning a wide range of genres and epochs. Both immersive and obscure, Mayer is guaranteed to bring his audience on a journey of twists and turns spanning all corners of the electronic spectrum.

Joining Michael Mayer is Weimar based Gabor Schablitzki, better known as Robag Wruhme. Emerging on the scene in 1997, the veteran producer and DJ’s output has been prolific; his output over the last decade under his Wighnomy Brothers and Robag Wruhme aliases have been released on labels such as Pampa, Musik Krause and Kompakt. His style pushes boundaries within the electronic spectrum; notably the elegant blend of sparkling and jaunty beats and murmuring keys of 2011 LP “Thora Vukk”, and 2018 “Wuzzelbud FF” on Hart Und Tief reflecting his more dancefloor oriented aesthetic. A notoriously private figure in the dance music community, Wruhme sets are rich in sonic zig-zags to match his unique charisma, and we cannot wait to welcome him.

Rounding off the lineup are the usual roster of Reculture residents.
